The GrassRoots Growers host events on a variety of topics related to vegetable and flower gardening, and the food we eat. Our events range from guest seminars and workshops, to open table discussions and film nights. We also host seed exchanges and an annual spring plant sale, as well as participate in other local events.

Speaker Event & Workshop: Vermicompost - The Wonderful World of Worms
Join us for an afternoon with Amanda Hunter, the founder of Worm Wrangler. Discover through this engaging talk, how worms can reduce waste, build healthy soil, and support thriving gardens. Then stay for an optional hands-on workshop where participants can build their own vermicomposting bin to take home.
Workshop: Luffa Natural Sponges & Seed Packing Party
Learn how to grow, harvest, and transform luffa squash into natural sponges in this fun, hands-on outdoor fall workshop. Afterwards, stick around for a Seed Packing Party to help re-stock the Tamworth Seed Library.
Workshop: Learn Apple Tree Grafting (SOLD OUT)
Learn how to create your own apple tree using a whip and tongue grafting method. Each participant is provided with a rootstock and apple variety of their choice during this workshop.
